Home Loans Record Higher in Turkey

Housing loans have skyrocketed in Turkey, the Daily Sabah reports.

Mortgage packages, introduced in Turkey on June 1 at historically low interest rates, led to a record increase in housing loans - their volume last week increased by 4.2 billion Turkish liras (about 613 million dollars).

A mortgage for new buildings will have a maturity of up to 15 years, with interest rates of up to 0.64% and a grace period of up to 12 months, banks said.
